We’re now in the last day of week four of the Daily Getaways. For those who are just tuning in, each weekday from May 19 – June 20, 2014 American Express in conjunction with the US Travel Association offers travel getaways and packages, often at a great prices.
Today’s packages are for Vegas Suites at The Palazzo or The Venetian, which go on sale at 1pm EST.
An added bonus is that using any American Express card to purchase will net you 10% off any of the packages.
Package 1 and purchase link – $675 – Certificate for 2 consecutive nights in a Siena suite at The Palazzo, Las Vegas. There are 42 available, max 1 per person. Blackout dates apply. Travel must be completed by April 1, 2015.
From The Palazzo’s website, the Siena suite has:
Approximately 1,280 square feet
Powder room off the entryway
Multiple flat-screen HD TVs
Dining table that seats four
Private work area
130-square-foot bathroom wit an HD TV, jetted tub, and separate glass-enclosed shower
Using a random weekend date of Saturday July 19 for a Siena suite the price comes out at $699.
Using a weekday date of Wednesday August 20 the price drops to $390.
Package 2 and purchase link – $550 – Certificate for 2 consecutive nights in a Piazza View Suite at The Venetian, Las Vegas. There are 50 available, max 1 per person. Blackout dates apply. Travel must be completed by April 1, 2015.
From The Venetian’s website, the Piazza View suite has:
Approximately 1,400 square feet
42” flat-screen plasma HD TV and DVD player
A complete wet bar
Semi-formal dining area that seats four
Using the same random weekend date of Saturday July 19 for a Piazza View the price comes out to $559.
And on the weekday of Wednesday August 20, the price is $296.
Regular rooms at these properties sell for much, much less. If you like suites though, the price for each of these is a good deal. The room rates I used as samples didn’t include any tax or fees, but the Daily Getaways packages include room, tax and resort fees. Plus, if you are paying via AMEX the package price is discounted by 10%. The only thing I would think twice about is that blackout dates apply to each package, so if you want to redeem your certificate during a holiday you probably won’t be able to.
Some of the Daily Getaways packages sell out quickly. If you’re interested in one of these, follow the link above for the package you want to purchase a little before 1pm EST. Have your American Express card ready and get in on the deal when it goes live.
