We’re in week 4 of the US Travel Association’s Daily Getaways.

For those not familiar with Daily Getaways, travel deals and packages are offered on a first-come first-served each weekday from April 10, 2017 through May 12, 2017. For a look at previous offers click here.

Today’s deals are for Hilton Honors points –

30,000 Hilton Honors points for $144 (450 packages available)
100,000 Hilton Honors points for $480 (275 packages available)
250,000 Hilton Honors points for $1,200 (236 packages available)

The packages go on sale at 1pm EST today.

The 100,000 points package is $20 cheaper than it was last year, and the 250,000 points package is $50 cheaper.

To purchase the deals today, click the individual links above or follow this link to the calendar for the week of May 1, 2017 and select the package you are interested in.

I wouldn’t buy points just to tuck them away for undefined future use, but you may get good value especially if you have some upcoming travel that you’d use them on.

Here’s the redemption chart as a refresher –

Here are some great examples of redemptions where you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck with Hilton Honors points.

If you were to stay at a Category 1 property like the Hilton Alexandria Corniche in Egypt that has a private beach and often runs several hundred dollars a night, you’d only need to redeem 5,000 Hilton HHonors points a night which is basically like paying just $25.

Another phenomenal option is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Agra, which has rooms looking out over the Taj Mahal. It’s a category 2 property, requiring just 10,000 points per night.

I’ll be passing this time on the Hilton packages today, since I have more than enough Hilton points and no immediate plans for, and don’t like to accumulate too much extra. However, for those looking to purchase and then make a redemption, these packages offer good value.
