Marriott is offering a $25 AMEX gift card plus 4,000 Marriott Rewards bonus points per night at SpringHill Suites Potomac Mills Woodbridge through January 31, 2017. There is a minimum stay requirement of two nights.

Here’s a booking link.

Use promotional code M11 when booking.

The SpringHill Suites Potomac Mills is just a half mile to the nearby outlets, and stays include daily hot breakfast, free Wifi & parking, and late checkout.

You can purchase Marriott Rewards points in increments of 1,000 points for $12.50 each, so 4,000 points would cost $50.

Checking the random date of December 19-21, 2016 the rate came to $119 per night for a total of $238 ($268.94 after taxes and fees) under the promotion .

The best available rate was just $99 a night, and the member rate was $97 a night for a total of $194 ($219.22 after taxes & fees).

Both rates are fully refundable.

The difference in price comes out to $49.72, which would be the same as the cost of purchasing the 4,000 Marriott Rewards points. You are essentially getting the AMEX Gift card for Free.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to stay here to get the gift card, but if you are planning to do some holiday shopping in the Potomac Mills Outlets or around the Washington DC area this is an easy promo. What I like about this promotion is that the rates are not advanced purchase and are fully refundable. There is only one stay required to get the bonus and there is no weekend or weeknight requirement.

Terms & Conditions:

    1. That would make it even better indeed Leo, but it looks like the promo says the points will be awarded per stay and since there is a minimum 2 night stay the points don’t double. I do see that I made an error though – the promo is for 5,000 points per stay, not 4,000. So, that is an extra 1,000.
