Christiano Ronaldo, the 30 year old two-time Ballon d’Or winner and Real Madrid footballer star can add something new to his resumé – hotelier.

He’s dropping a $40 million investment into four new boutique hotels in Portugal- one in his hometown of Funchal in Madeira, one in Lisbon where he started his career, another in Madrid where he found fame, and the last in New York where he is considering Major League Soccer.

Here’s a video interview Ronaldo did with CNBC about his latest hotel investment.

The new hotel brand will be known as “CR7”. The properties in Madeira and Lisbon are slated to open in 2016, and the ones in Madrid and New York are scheduled to open in 2017. The hotels are being developed by the Pestana Hotel Group, and Ronaldo will reportedly own 50% of the join venture.

Per Goal’s Rich List for 2015, Ronaldo’s personal fortune is valued at $223 million so even the $40 million new venture doesn’t dig into his funds too much.
