SPG Hot Escapes Great Picks for September 2, 2015

Happy Wednesday! The SPG Hot Escapes weekly list is out and here it is, along with some of Magic of Miles’ great picks including some US properties low-priced for mattress runs and a hotel prime for waterfall viewing.

The list this week is a bit thin with just 55 properties total.

For those who aren’t familiar with Hot Escapes, SPG combined Beat The Timer for Hot Escapes and Starpicks into something called Hot Escapes. Every Wednesday at 6am EST new properties are added and must be booked by that Saturday, for stays during the following six weeks. As an SPG member, you also save an extra 5% and earn points for the stay.

The only downside is that reservations are prepaid, and if you change or cancel a fee is involved.

Magic of Miles’ great picks –

Four Points by Sheraton Houston in Texas has a SPG Member rate of $68, Four Points by Sheraton at Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport in Arizona is also at $68, The Westin Washington Dulles Airport in Herndon Virginia is at $64, Sheraton Imperial Hotel & Convention Center in Durham North Carolina has a rate of $60, and the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre in Ontario Canada is $60.

If you are planning a trip to see Niagara Falls, the Sheraton on the Falls Hotel in Ontario Canada is a great choice for a hotel on the Canada side. It is on the list this week with a great rate of $80. The rate is only for one day in October, but there are also two others at a slightly higher $85.

The Westin Siray Bay Resort & Spa in Phuket, Thailand has wide open availability at $82.

Looking for a layover hotel near London Heathrow Airport? The Sheraton Heathrow Hotel is on offer this week, at $69. The rate is only found on one day in September, but there are a couple at $74 in October as well.

Sheraton Brussels Hotel is listed at $91 for half a dozen dates in September-October. It’s not the hotel “39 steps to the airportâ€, but the one right in the middle of the central business district if that suits your needs.

The Naka Island in Phuket, Thailand has a SPG member rate this week of $223 and all their villas come with private pools. It is not to be confused with Necker Island, Richard Branson’s private resort in the Virgin Islands.

Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa is offered at $80 and the Sheraton Hua Hin Pranburi Villas are $160, both located in Thailand.

Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel & Towers is on the list again this week with a SPG member rate of $186.

The St. Regis Beijing is $173, with wide open availability, and The St. Regis Doha has a great rate of $213 but just for a single date in September.
