At what point does fiction come to life? The long-awaited Steven Spielberg produced Jurassic World movie is being released in 3D by Universal Pictures today, June 12, 2015. The hotel featured in Jurassic World is the Hilton Isla Nublar resort, but is it real? The website certainly is.

The Jurassic World theme park map shows the Hilton Isla Nublar resort as on the way to see the Mosasaurus via Monorail.

Obviously there are no Mosasauruses (sorry to disappoint), but the Hilton Isla Nublar resort has an amazingly realistic website where you can actually plan out your imaginary visit in immense detail.

The journey starts with a ferry ride from Costa Rica to Isla Nublar.

The website has all the standard menus (such as a look at rooms & suites) you would expect when booking your hotel room at a theme park. The sidebar includes a fun phone number for the resort – 800-888-DINO. I called it, of course, out of curiosity. I won’t spoil it for anyone else that wants to call, but I’m sure that the number will get a lots of rings over the coming days.

The 5 Star luxury resort boasts 5,000 rooms, along with 32 tennis courts and a golf course.

Of course, the resort also has a spa, and all the usual amenities.

Rob Palleschi, global head, full service brands, Hilton Worldwide said, “We believe in the power of bringing great stories to life, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with Universal Pictures on this thrilling blockbuster.”

There are also several packages, and the Romance Package sounded pretty sweet with tent accommodations under the stars and picnics at the top of the Gondola.

The one that caught my eye though, was the Apex Predator Package.

Now that looks like a fantastic option with private dinosaur feedings, head of state accommodations and 25-hour a day concierge.

There are even fake reviews of the accommodations, some of which made me laugh.

In addition to the hotel, you can also plan your visit to the Jurassic World Theme Park.

The Jurassic World dining section is chock-full of mouthwatering restaurant choices.

Winston’s even has an online menu, though the Porterhouse steak seemed a bit expensive even for a theme park, at $86.

For those of you that are parents, you might be pleased to note that the Kids page on the website actually has downloadable crosswords, coloring pages and games. Hopefully your tot won’t ask to go to the Create Your Own Dinosaur or the Mr. DNA Meet N Greet though.

To make the website experience even more realistic, there’s even a safety page with helpful tips to keep the family safe while visiting.

So, so cool. For those that don’t have time to take a trip to Jurassic World, there are a few other options.

The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is celebrating the kick-off of the movie today, and if you stop by you can get your own digital souvenir photo and printed postcard. During the special event, Jurassic World and Hilton branded swag will be given out, and you might even win a “Be My Guest” certificate good for a free night’s stay at any Hilton property.

If you won’t be at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek today, you can still enter the Jurassic World Dream Vacation sweepstakes until June 19, 2015.

I admit that I’ve never seen the first Jurassic Park movie, and may not see Jurassic World either. Looking at Hilton Isla Nublar’s website in conjunction with the Jurassic World theme park website, it makes me really, really want to visit. Am I the only one?
