View from the Wing wrote yesterday about receiving word from SPG that a summer promotion about to be rolled out in July enables members to earn free weekend nights at Sheraton properties. Talk about exciting! The promotion goes like this –

For every five nights you stay at a Sheraton property between July 9 and September 30, 2015 you’ll earn one FREE Sheraton weekend night that can be redeemed at any Sheraton property around the world. The promotion will be stackable with other SPG promos as well, like the Make It Count summer promotion.

There are no blackout dates or capacity controls for redemption, and per View from the Wing up to a maximum of 3 nights can be earned and combined for redemption at any Category 1-7 Sheraton.

Not sure where to use the free night?

There aren’t actually any Category 7 Sheraton properties that I’m aware of, but there are plenty of options at the other levels. Here are the Sheraton properties in Category 6, for example.

Category 6

Sheraton Madives Full Moon Resort & Spa – Maldives

Sheraton Waikiki – Hawaii

Sheraton Steamboat Resort Villas – Colorado

Sheraton Bijou Beach Resort – Panama

Sheraton Addis – Ethiopia

Sheraton Kuwait – Kuwait

Sheraton Doha – Qatar

Sheraton Huzhou Hot Spring Resort – China

Sheraton Denarau Villas – Fiji

Free nights must be redeemed for stays by December 13, 2015. Considering the promotion runs through September 30, 2015 this isn’t a long time afterwards to redeem but since we know about the promo in advance it makes it easier to block out the dates now and start planning.

Registration isn’t open yet but will be on July 9, 2015. I’ll definitely be ready to register for this cool promotion, will you?
