Between November 20 and December 17, 2014 Choice Privileges is offering double points when members make bookings via their mobile app, up to 30,000 during the promotion. Stays must be completed by December 17, 2014, and registration is required in order to receive the bonus points.

At most Choice Hotel brands you earn 10 points per US dollar spent, (5 points per US dollar at Rodeway Inn, Econolodge, Mainstay Suites and Suburban). During the promotion you can potentially earn up to 20 points per US dollar spent. With redemptions starting at 6,000 points and no hoops to jump through to earn the bonus points I’d sign up even if I didn’t have any upcoming stays planned at this time.

Note that the terms say you must have an address in the US in order to be eligible for the promotion.
