The Peninsula Hotels made a captivating video celebrating the heritage of its brand, which was a gold winner in the 5th Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards. The video titled, “Tradition Well Served” documents the rich 85 year history of The Peninsula Hong Kong and the Kadoorie family legacy.

The Golden Dolphin winning film also highlights events and behind the scenes looks at their properties in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Chicago, Bangkok, Philippines, Beijing, Beverly Hills and New York. It’s quite a long film at 45 minutes, but the historical clips and insight into their flagship property are inspiring. At the end is a look at the Peninsula Paris, which opened just recently.

  1. Have you ever stayed at a Peninsula property? If not, it is something that should be on every traveler’s “bucket list”.

Totally amazing. Staff is exceptional and accommodating (at least they were 8 years ago at the Peninsula HK for my 10th anniversary). From pickup at the airport, to departure from the hotel in a Rolls Royce. Mentioned that it was our anniversary during booking, and to our surprise, dinner charges did not appear on our bill and there was a chocolate torte and a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room.

But what do you expect for $600 a night (overlooking the harbor). Saw the nightly light show while having room service dinner.

    A must-do.

    1. What an amazing experience for your special occasion! I haven’t stayed at a Peninsula yet but watching this video and hearing your experience makes me want to.
