How to Get a Free Trip to Vienna, Istanbul or Mauritius and be on SPG TV

You start unpacking, walking from room to room as you check out the hotel that will become home for the next night or ten. At some point you become aware of some serene piano music or hear host Anita Kapoor‘s voice. Moving to the bedroom or sitting room, you see that the TVs have been switched on in anticipation of your arrival and have been turned to the same channel. Pausing for a moment, you watch the screen as a SPG member shows you their favorite place or the sun rises over a beautiful resort in the Starwood network of properties. Welcome to SPG TV.

Some people find the music annoying and simply switch off the TV when they arrive, but others love SPG TV and find it inspiring. Some reportedly even watch for hours or plan their next holiday after watching.

SPG TV updates their videos every so often to feature new members and places, andÂ they currently have an open casting call going on for their newest video to be broadcast in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Â The cities featured will be Istanbul, Mauritius and Vienna.

This looks like a dream chance for an amazing experience. The notes say that SPG will cover the cost of accommodations and travel for the video shoot as well, so that sounds like free flights and hotel stays.

Curious what hotels they could potentially put you up at, I made a little list of the SPG properties in Vienna, Istanbul and Mauritius.

The rules say you need to give a short bio of why you love the destination you’re applying for, so even though I’d love to try the St Regis Mauritius Resort I haven’t actually been to Mauritius so if I was applying I’d probably go with Vienna.
