Last night I received an email from Kimpton about a “Sweet Suite” offer they have starting today where you can get 20% off suites at participating properties. Then a few hours later I saw I’d gotten the same email 5 more times. I guess they really wanted me to take a look! (ok, or it was a glitch).

Participating Kimpton locations are offering 20% off their suites. Bookings must be made by September 13, 2014 for stays between September 5 and October 31, 2014. Day of week availability and discount percentage vary by hotel, and there are blackout dates for some.

Here’s a booking link.

Use promotional code SUITES when booking.

The last time I wrote about a Kimpton sale, the dates and locations for availability were quite scarce. I was glad to see this time that there are more than just a few hotels participating and that there was a list.

I tried a random date of October 11 at all properties to see what would pop up. I liked that I didn’t have to choose a particular place, but that I could search all for availability at once. There were 20 hotels returned with the search, which was a good start. Selecting the Eventi hotel in New York, the price for a suite came to $567 using the promo.

The best available rate for a regular room without the promo came to $489 and for a suite it was $602, but honestly these rates are much higher than I’d generally want to pay for a regular room or a suite at a hotel!

Looking around at the other properties using the same random date, I tried the Cypress hotel in Cupertino where the Executive Suite came to just $178 with the promo and the Grand Suite was $220. Much more reasonable, although not in New York. Without the promo, the best available rate for a regular room came to $159.

I like that this promo allows cancellations and changes up to 24 hours prior to the date of arrival too. If you were going to book a regular room this may be a good chance to get a suite instead, or save some money if you were already going to book a suite at a Kimpton property that is included in this promotion.
