Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts has introduced their global eclair program. Head Judge on Bravo’s “Top Chef Just Desserts” Chef Johnny Iuzzini will create signature eclair recipes over the next several months for Le Meridien, in a project called Eclair Diaries.

To commemorate the launch, starting this month Le Meridien hotels will offer eclair hours for guests to sample the treats, do-it-yourself tutorials with pastry chefs, and host special events. During June and July guests can upload their pictures and share the fun on social media using #LMeclairs.

Each participating hotel will offer their own take on the three classics of chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. The fourth will give guests a taste of the local culture. Examples are:

Le Meridien Dallas – Maple Bacon and Texas Honey Pecan Eclair
Le Meridien Panama – Dulce de Leche Eclair infused with coconut
Le Meridien Munich – Savory Eclair with goat cheese, cranberry & pumpernickel crumbs
Le Meridien Bangkok – Citrus-inspired Eclair with mango, lime, and ginger

On July 10 Chef Iuzzini will travel around San Francisco to get inspiration, and his first signature recipe will be unveiled July 29 at a special event in New York City. Further details to be announced.
