IHG’s latest Rewards PointBreaks list is now live for bookings and stays starting today, October 30, 2017 through January 31, 2018.

PointBreaks can be a great way to save on some of IHG’s properties. At the upper end, some of IHG’s Intercontinental hotels typically redeem at a 60,000 point level yet every night in a PointBreaks property is just 5,000 points. This offers an excellent opportunity for you to try out some really great hotels at a fraction of the cost.

If you have a quick business trip somewhere this can offer you significant savings. You can also book a stay somewhere warm to bask in the sunshine just a bit longer, if you live in a place that is already in winter mode.

Most of the “hot†properties go fast during the promotion, so if you see one you like it is smart to do so quickly. Most reward bookings are refundable too, and you can book up to two reservations per property.

I was disappointed to see that the most recent list didn’t include any InterContinental properties at all, nor any of my favorite Crowne Plaza hotels (like the one in Times Square of New York, or even the Crowne Plaza at Toronto Airport in Canada that has quiet zones great for jet-lagged travelers).

But thankfully, IHG releases a new list of hotels for the promotion every few months. So if you don’t find any you’d like to book, keep checking back!
