Club Carlson is out with a new promotion called “Free Fridays” where you can earn a free Friday night or bonus Gold points.

Register and stay twice at a participating property between July 1, 2017 and September 30, 2017, you’ll earn a reward of your choosing – either a free Friday night stay, or 10,000 Bonus Gold Points.

Stays can be at any Quorvus Collection, Radisson Blu®, Radisson RED, Radisson®, Park Plaza®, Park Inn® by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites properties.

If you earn a free Friday night stay, it will be delivered in the way of an emailed e-certificate that you can redeem for a future stay.

Friday night e-certificate redemptions can be used at any Quorvus Collection, Radisson Blu®, Radisson RED, Radisson®, Park Plaza®, Park Inn® by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites properties for stays between October 6, 2017 and January 26, 2018.

You can earn the reward a maximum of three times, so you’d cap out at either 3 free Friday nights, or 30,000 Bonus Gold Points. You cannot switch between reward choices to say, earn one free Friday night and then 10,000 Bonus Gold points. Whichever reward type you choose at the time of the registration is the one you’ll earn towards with your stays.

Registration is required before checkout of your first eligible stay during the promotion period.

Note that reservations paid for using Points + Cash or Points are not eligible for the promotion.

I love that this promotion is simple to follow, and that you get a choice of awards. Personally, I would choose the free Friday night over the 10,000 bonus Gold points. I tend to stay at Radisson Blu properties in Europe on weekends that are typically on the higher end of rates so redeeming at one of those has more value than the 10,000 bonus Gold points. If your stay pattern is different than mine and wouldn’t be able to redeem within the specified period though, you might prefer the bonus Gold points.
