Hyatt Gold Passport is an outstanding loyalty program. That being said, it has long been almost a joke about how poor their website has sometimes worked.

I personally didn’t run into a ton of navigation difficulties, but occasionally when trying to make reservations I’d get an error returned that said,

“Sorry, we’re having trouble finding that page”.

I’d know that the page existed, but would have to start all over again. Worse was when I had a few minutes and wanted to pull something up quick, only to get their dreaded “website down” message.

Today though, there’s a fresh look to the Gold Passport site and presumably their IT department has fixed those pesky bugs requiring so much downtime.

Right on Hyatt Gold Passport’s front page you are given the opportunity to watch a video highlighting the website changes.

Click here to go the front page. The video can be accessed via the slider photos.

When first logging into your account you see an overview of your status and reservations that is more visually appealing than before. It shows your upcoming reservations and past activity in large boxes rather than just a small list.

There’s now a handy rebook tab that lets you pull up a handful of your most recent reservation locations and rebook easily. This doesn’t have a lot of value for me since it is just as easy to type in the name of the property, but some readers may find it helpful.

Among the new features is a tab that shows your benefits at a glance as you move up through the tiers of the Gold Passport program.

When it comes to points, the page has clickable boxes that show you more about earning and redeeming. I particularly like the tab about redemptions, that has all of the redemption charts in an easy to view font for all-inclusive resorts, standard rooms and points & cash redemptions.

I look forward to using Hyatt Gold Passport’s refreshed site.

Are there any cool features that you have found on the new site, or that seem to have disappeared?

  1. Same for me. I logged on specifically to get a receipt, and the site was down. So I went back when the site was up and i couldn’t get any receipts. don’t they beta test this stuff? This is form over function.

    1. @Glenn I hadn’t tried that yet but now I will have to. I also noticed a couple other search functions missing, but I’m hoping that with more focus on IT they’ll get the bugs ironed out and the site will have less downtime. Fingers crossed!
