We’re in week 3 of the US Travel Association’s Daily Getaways.

For those not familiar with Daily Getaways, travel deals and packages are offered on a first-come first-served each weekday from April 4, 2016 through May 6, 2016. For a look at last week’s offers click here.

Today’s deals are for Hilton HHonors points –

100,000 Hilton HHonors points for $500 (160 packages available)
150,000 Hilton HHonors points for $750 (200 packages available)
250,000 Hilton HHonors points for $1,250 (200 packages available)

The packages go on sale at 1pm EST today.

To purchase the deals today, click the individual links above or follow this link to the calendar for the week of April 18, 2016 and select the package you are interested in.

The cost comes out to .5 cents per point with each package.

I wouldn’t buy the points just to tuck them away for undefined future use, but you may get good value especially if you have some upcoming travel that you’d use them on.

For example, here’s the redemption chart as a refresher –

Here are some great examples of where you’ll get a lot of bang for your buck with Hilton HHonors points.

If you were to stay at a Category 1 property like the Hilton Alexandria Corniche in Egypt that has a private beach and often runs several hundred dollars a night, you’d only need to redeem 5,000 Hilton HHonors points a night which is basically like paying just $25.

Another phenomenal option is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Agra, which has rooms looking out over the Taj Mahal. It’s a category 2 property, requiring just 10,000 points per night.

I’ll be passing this time on the packages, since I have more than enough Hilton points that I don’t have any immediate plans for and don’t like to accumulate too much extra in case there is another devaluation.

Will you buy any of these Hilton points packages?
