Today is the 6th Day of Christmas for InsideFlyer’s 12 Days of Christmas contests, and today’s prize is a $300 hotel credit with Rocketmiles.

For those not familiar with Rocketmiles, they are an online hotel booking site where you can earn up to 10,000 airline miles for your booking. Rocketmiles is a great way to earn airline miles quickly.

One of the main drawbacks is that if you have elite status with a hotel program the stay will not count towards elite re-qualification, you won’t earn points on the stay and your status level may not be recognized.

When doing a search the list of available properties returned is often not comprehensive and leaves out some hotels. As with all third-party online travel booking sites, pricing can be higher than on competing hotel booking sites.

However, it doesn’t have to be complicated. If you’re just looking for a hotel to stay at and don’t care about loyalty program elite benefits, Rocketmiles can be a great way to go.

A $300 credit is enough to splash out on a really nice hotel room, plus you’d be earning miles at the same time so it’s really two prizes in one!

The credit is good for one stay in one room booked by December 1, 2016 for stays between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. Once the reservation is booked it will be non-refundable and non-changeable, and guest will be responsible for settling the bill for all food, beverage, resort fees, taxes and other incidentals incurred during the stay before checking out.
