Hyatt will soon have a new Andaz hotel in their portfolio. The Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Spa in Arizona spread over 22 acres is slated to open mid-2016.

The 201 guest room property situated in Paradise Valley will have a 12,000 square foot spa and salon, fitness center and over 20,000 square feet of meeting/event space. Less than 2 miles away from Old Town Scottsdale and the Fashion Square shopping mall, there are several restaurants within walking distance as well.

The guest rooms will be between 350 and 500 square feet and clustered together in groups of six to create bungalow-style lodging. I like that the rooms will reportedly also have two private terraces, with some including outdoor showers.

There are no photos available of the resort yet since it is still under construction, but the pic above is an artist’s rendering of what the guest rooms might look like via the Andaz Scottsdale’s web page.

3 large pools and sundeck are planned, and food options at the resort include lots of local flavors and fresh ingredients.

Here’s another rendering from the website, of the hotel’s bar.

The press release says guests will be able to gaze at Camelback Mountain from the resort, which is being designed to have a desert feel with desert-themed interior as well.

This will be the first Andaz property in Arizona. Will you stay at this hotel once it is open?
