The Ritz-Carlton Bali has a Club Lounge with really good food offerings, but one day I decided to stay in and enjoy some room service by our private pool.

The evening’s picks: Crab spaghetti with olive oil and chili flakes, lobster roll sandwiches, truffle fries, lemon dessert and a pizza from the kiddie menu.

Tick Tock: I was given the timeframe of 30 minutes or less and 25 minutes after the call, room service was at the door ready to deliver.

The food was brought in swiftly, and it was great to have such a nice view while enjoying the meal.

Even though we should have started with the sandwiches, both of us reached instantly for the fries and they didn’t disappoint. Each bite was hot, crunchy and full of truffle flavor. Needless to say, the bowl was emptied quickly.

The lobster rolls were very good. Even though there was a lot of sauce, I could still find big chunks of lobster in there and the roll itself was toasted and buttery. They had come with a side of fries each which was unnecessary after the yummy truffle fries.

Next up was the crab pasta, which I’d been provided both chopsticks and a fork for. The pasta was delicious, with lots of crab and lots of flavor.

I then reached for the kiddie pizza. It came with a proper napkin and plastic silverware which I thought was a great idea for kids.

The pizza was really fun, with tomato slices cut into the shape of numbers and letters. It was good too, with a thin and crispy crust and not too much sauce.

The last part of the meal was the dessert. The lemon flavor hit just the right balance between tart and sweet. The dessert was very rich and I only managed a bite of two but those who love lemon desserts would probably find this one delicious.

Correctness of order – ✔

Parting thoughts – The dessert was too rich for my liking, but the prices on everything were reasonable and the food was delicious. Even with the many restaurants at the Ritz Bali I would definitely order room service here again.

Overall score – 5/5

    Hi Melinda,

I found your post on the Ritz Carlton Bali to be the best one I’ve read so far. am a fan of their properties, and am currently living in Bali and am planning to stay there now! Also, did you manage to check out any boutique hotels while you were in Bali?

Glad you found the post helpful Tarun, and how wonderful to be living in Bali! The only other properties I’ve stayed at while in Bali were the InterContinental and the St Regis, and the latter would be my top choice out of the three.
