I actually wasn’t counting on Hyatt to run a summer promotion this year, so I was pleased when I saw an email show up just today with details.
Hyatt’s Sweet Dreams, Sweet Rewards summer promo looks extremely similar to the winter promo they had earlier this year called Stay More, Play More. They must be pleased with the way that their tiered promos have been going lately, since last summer’s Hyatt promo was completely different and earned you triple airline miles instead of any bonus GP points.
The summer promo email said that after I’d accumulated 15 eligible nights between June 1 and September 30, 2015, I’d earn 30,000 bonus Hyatt Gold Passport points. 5 nights more would earn an additional 15,000 bonus points and 5 nights after that would earn 20,000 bonus points, for a possible total of 65,000 Gold Passport points during the promotion.
I noted that M life property stays are excluded from counting towards this promotion, which is a little unusual as typically all Hyatt properties participate in a promo whereas other hotel chain promotions often see multiple properties opting out.
Here’s the earning chart –
I am not wowed by the promo, but pleased that there is one this summer. I’m not going to modify any of my travel to try and reach the maximum with this promo. Promotions aren’t as generous as they used to be so if I have stays and happen to earn some bonus Gold Passport points I’ll be happy.
Some members may have received a different version of this promotion, as in the past. I expect that some will get the one with the earning chart of –
5 Nights + 5,000 Points = 5,000 Total Points Earned
10 Nights + 10,000 Points = 15,000 Total Points Earned
15 Nights + 15,000 Points = 30,000 Total Points Earned
20 Nights + 2,000 Points = 50,000 Total Points Earned
