Many hotels have started tapping into the potential of letting guests use their mobile phones to check-in, but for some reason the ingenuity stops once the guest reaches the hotel. Now, a promising new app called MobileSuites is bringing it all together to allow guests to access multiple hotel amenities.
MobileSuites works like a remote control, for an entire hotel stay.
Once the MobileSuites app is downloaded, users just search to find the hotel they’re at and the mobile enabled services offered by the hotel will pull up.
After clicking to find out the available services, the guest will then see dining, valet, taxi, spa, housekeeping, etc.
In my test at the Westin Chicago North Shore recently, I chose Room Service. Rather than calling down to the front desk, I could simply use my phone to choose the items I wanted from the menu.
The prices included, an order submitted works exactly the same as if it was called in from the room. Plus, there is a place to add in extra comments or requests, so there is no more confusion making sure an omelette is requested without onions when the person answering the phone for room service doesn’t speak English very well.
There are over 1200 properties already in the database of MobileSuites, which includes just about every Grand Hyatt, Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt Place, St Regis, Le Méridien, W Hotel and Westin in America.
One of the places I can really see this app shining is for valet. Calling down to valet I find at many hotels it takes time to even get someone to answer the phone. This way I could immediately request my car and be on my way downstairs rather than sitting on hold on the phone in the room.
MobileSuites is offering Magic of Miles readers the opportunity to be a beta tester of their new app. Plus, if you refer a friend after signing up you’ll get entered to win a 3-night stay at any of their participating properties (up to $1000 value). If 3 of the people you refer sign up, you will receive a $10 Amazon gift card. Pretty cool, just for trying it out!

Sounds great to me!
