JW Marriott opened a new resort earlier this week in Mussoorie in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan Mountains. The new 115 guest room property is called the JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa.

All guest rooms have private balconies, and the location is close to gardens, natural waterfalls, walnut groves, temples and hiking trails. The JW Marriott Mussoorie is a Category 4 property, requiring 20,000 Marriott Rewards points for a free night, or 15,000 for PointSavers.

The hotel Spa has five treatment rooms and features L’Occitane amenities, and the fitness center will have an indoor heated pool (the site says it is still undergoing maintenance).

There are five restaurants onsite. JW Cafe is open all day, featuring international cuisine. Teppan offers Asian style food, Wisteria Deck has Italian food, Perch is their tea lounge and Trout House Grill & Bar is open for dinner and drinks.

The hotel even has a two-lane bowling alley, electronics corner with video games, pool tables, library, and a Market with to-go items.

This looks like a great property in a beautiful place!
