With Pike Place Market less than half a mile away and a mall across the street, I decided that the Sheraton Seattle was a great hotel to use as a jumping off point for exploring the area for a few days.

Checking in, even though I had booked a regular room I was given a suite in the Pike Street Tower because of my SPG Platinum status. Great!

Zipping up the elevator, I got in the room and found myself in a nice entryway.

l loved the fact that the room was far away from the elevators.

The bedroom was to the left, and the sitting room to the right.

IMG_1844

The bedroom had a 37″ LCD Flat Panel TV, nice desk, and several chairs.

IMG_1839

The bed was a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper, so comfortable and I always like lots of pillows.

IMG_1838

There was a gorgeous view from the bedroom window. Does anyone else pull up a chair to windows and just gaze out for a while?

IMG_1858

There was a partial window seat with a double set of drapes so it could either block out just the glare or offer full blackout.

IMG_1848

The room was totally quiet.

IMG_1847

I used the convenient outlet right on top of the desk to charge some electronics, and headed over to to the sitting room.

IMG_1849

Entering the sitting room, I saw there was the same TV setup with a cordless phone just below.

IMG_1837

The room was a good size and had a dining table with seating for four.

IMG_1835

It was a pretty cool suite.

IMG_1826

There was even a wet bar with bar stools.

IMG_1829

The bar area offered plenty of refrigerator space, a coffee and tea maker, and storage for dry goods.

IMG_1825

The minibar sodas and juices were free.

IMG_1834

The tall plant in the corner gave the room a more homey feel, and everything was dusted and smelled fresh.

IMG_1833

The sitting room could be completely closed off from the foyer and the bedroom which was a nice feature.

IMG_1853

Speaking of the gorgeous views, the ones in the sitting room of downtown Seattle were stunning.

IMG_1828

There were also two large bottles of complimentary Aqua Panna water in the bar area.

IMG_1824

Both the sitting room and bedroom had bathrooms. The one for the sitting room was oversized and had more water bottles and tons of counter space.

IMG_1855

The one attached to the bedroom was a bit smaller but still had plenty of counter space.

IMG_1832

I stopped by the Club Lounge in the evening for some snacks, and there were fresh items being replaced so that none of the trays were left empty.

IMG_1862

There were even items marked “Vegetarian” to make it easier to see which items were and which weren’t.

IMG_1861

It was nice that once I had chosen some things to eat there were plenty of places to sit. Some club lounges are small so during evening or breakfast, even when the food is good, overcrowding makes me less likely to stay and eat.

IMG_1860

I settled in a comfortable armchair.

IMG_1863

Later in the evening I went back to the room to get ready before heading out for a few hours. As the day sky gave way to dusk and then darkness, the views were just as neat as before and I liked having so many restaurants within walking distance.

The next morning breakfast in the club lounge was good too. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, and have always gotten an upgrade to a suite. The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is great, and I’d definitely go back!
