TravelPony is having a flash sale for up to 45% off their hotels booked today, August 2, 2014.

For those who haven’t used TravelPony before, I’ve written about them before here. Basically they spread the word about their site by way of social media, and because they don’t spend a ton on advertising they say they can offer lower rates than some competing hotel websites.

Use promo code TPSAVINGS when booking.

Here’s a booking link.

One of the hotels they advertised 35% savings on was Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I decided to test it out to see how the availability was, and how their pricing would be compared to another website. Looking at Hotels.com’s website for the random date of August 9, 2014, the price came out to $278.48.

TravelPony’s discounted rate for the same date when using their promotion came out to be much cheaper, at just $205.

I tried several other dates and hotels, and availability using their promotion was great.

If you don’t have a TravelPony account, if you use my referral link to sign up you’ll get a $35 credit when you book a hotel that is $200 before taxes.

TravelPony is great in that it offers discounts on Kimpton and Four Seasons properties where most third party bookings sites do not. Just like any online booking site though, you’ll want to check around that the prices on any of their hotels are lower than you can get elsewhere.
