Vienna is a great place to be during the Christmas Markets. If you are thinking of visiting and trying to plan your stay in advance, I’ve recently posted three hotel reviews which all offer outstanding redemption value.

1. Hotel imperial Vienna. To see my review click here.

Selecting random dates of December 5-7, 2014 the basic Classic Room at this hotel is at 419 EUR using the best available rate.

To redeem either 25,000 Starpoints or 10,000 plus $180 you’re getting a great deal. Plus, all three times I’ve been at this property as an SPG Platinum, I’ve been given a complimentary upgrade to the Elisabeth Suite which goes for 769 EUR per night that weekend.

The Hotel Imperial is just blocks away on foot from the Viennese Christmas Market. Here’s a SPG booking link.

2.  Ritz-Carlton Vienna. To see my review click here.

Using those sample dates of December 12-14, 2014 the best available rate is 335 EUR per night.

You can redeem 50,000 Ritz-Carlton or Marriott Rewards points per night (total of 100,000 for the weekend). There is also a Club room redemption offer for 75,000 a night, and the best available rate for that room during these dates is 495 EUR.

There’s also a cash & points option, where you could book the Club room for 100,000 points for the weekend, plus $125 EUR per night. Since this property is close. Here is a Ritz-Carlton booking link.

3. Park Hyatt Vienna. To see my review click here.

Selecting again the dates of December 5-7, the best available rate is 475 EUR.
