Two $50 Global Hotel Cards for $39

Sam’s Club carries Global Hotel Cards that come two in a pack, with each card good for $50. The price is usually $79 for the pack, but Slickdeals is reporting that the price at many stores has been marked down to $39.

You can check here to see if your local Sam’s Club has them on sale, and then purchase them in the store.

Global

If you select your store and it says, “only sold online” then the price is not discounted at that location. They are sold out at my local Sam’s and are reportedly going fast at other locations, but you may have better luck.

Are these cards a good deal? Yes, in some instances. There are no blackout dates. Even though only one certificate can be used per booking, you can do back-to-back reservations to use both of them. If you find a well-priced hotel you could end up saving $30 per room per night. You don’t have to register with globalhotelcard.com to book.

Drawbacks: Many of the hotel prices are identical to that on Orbitz, but you can only redeem the gift cards on www.GlobalHotelCard.com, and only one $50 certificate can be used per booking. Any remaining balance due for the reservation must be paid by credit card.

I wouldn’t use this deal if I wanted the stay to count towards elite status at a hotel, since this booking would not qualify. If I was just looking for a cheap hotel stay though, this might offer some savings.
