Decadent Mother’s Day Hotel Brunches Around the US

Mother’s Day is this coming Sunday, May 11. A great way to celebrate a wife, mom, grandma, etc. is to take them out for a leisurely brunch.

If you haven’t made reservations already, here are some stellar hotel restaurant suggestions for around the US –

Where: Norma’s at LeParkerMeridien in Midtown West, NYC.

Why: They only serve breakfast and brunch, and they are great at it. Menu item to try – Crunchy French Toast with Warm Caramel Sauce.
Price: Very reasonable at around $35 per person. Of course, they do offer a $1,000 Lobster Frittata with 10oz of caviar…

Where: The Lobby at The Peninsula Hotel, Chicago, IL

Why: For Mother’s Day brunch the eatery is serving the best from each of the Peninsula’s restaurants in one enormous buffet. Menu item to try – Country Pork Terrine with Pate en Croute.
Price: A bit steep at $155 per person, but if you eat enough you could get by with only one meal that day

Where: Blue Duck Tavern at the Park Hyatt Washington, Washington, DC

Why: Diners start with a seasonal three course fixed menu complete with starter and salad, their choice of entree, sides, then dessert. Menu item to try – Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich with Kale, Lamb Merguez Sausage, and Sunny Side Up Egg.
Price: $95 per person for adults, $42 for children 6-12, and free for 5 and unders

Where: Garden Court at the Palace Hotel, San Francisco, CA

Why: Stunning historic setting, and a buffet featuring fresh seafood. Menu item to try – Daily Harvest Oysters
Price: $125 per person.

Where: Grand Cafe at the Omni Hotel, Los Angeles, CA

Why: Gorgeous hillside & reflecting pool views, and a buffet of fresh local and organic items. Menu item to try – Sticky Bun French Toast with Purple Lavender Maple Syrup
Price: $49 for adults, $15 for children 12 and under

Spending time with Mom is the best, but it certainly is a nice bonus to earn some points while at it!
